With Ocean’s 8 set to open on June 8th, Cartier hosted a screening for jewelry editors, followed by a splashy party at their Fifth Avenue mansion to celebrate the opening of an exhibition showcasing many of the gems seen in the film. That includes the necklace around which the film’s plot is centered: the Jeanne Toussaint, a fictional piece that’s based on a design from the house’s archives and named for a real woman, who served as Cartier’s creative director in the 1930s.
