I was lucky to interview Karl Lagerfeld several times over the years, typically connected to the debut of a Chanel collection or special project, and it’s absolutely true that there will never be another like him.
For Indulge, the magazine of the Miami Herald, I shared the memories of a now-iconic Miami Beach moment: when Lagerfeld debuted the Chanel Resort 2008 collection at the Raleigh hotel in South Beach. It was a seminal moment for Miami, as it cemented both its hip quotient and its status as a city with style.
