We had a bit of fun with the theme for the jewelry page seen in the 2022 Oscars issue of The Hollywood Reporter: Instead of merely spotlighting a range of spectacular jewels ideal for the industry's hottest red carpet, instead I looked for jewels that evoked thoughts of all the Best Picture nominees, from a 1970s-inspired bracelet that might feel at home in Licorice Pizza to one of the iconic ballerina brooches from Van Cleef & Arpels, perfect for nominee West Side Story. It was really fun to research the perfect jewels to pay tribute to the year's best movies, and hope you agree!
In addition, both watches and jewelry continue to play an increasing role in the red-carpet looks of Hollywood's most stylish men; with that in mind, I also put together a roundup of status timepieces and the jewels, from brands including Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Harry Winston, Tiffany & Co. and others, also available to the men we're now calling fashion's "male peacocks," a group that today includes everyone from Harry Styles to Michael B. Jordan, Simu Liu, Ke Huy Quan and others. This new avenue has opened up so many opportunities, both for jewelers and the journalists who cover them.
