Covering red carpets is always tremendous fun; it’s never easy, because you have to be a little aggressive to capture the attention of those who are breezing by after they’ve had their photos taken. But for those who do stop, it’s always fun to talk about everything from fashion to philanthropy, as was the case at the 2019 CFDA Awards, the annual event presented by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Jennifer Lopez was honored with the 2019 Icon Award and garnered much of the evening’s attention, though everyone from The Row’s Ashley to Brandon Maxwell and Mary-Kate Olsen to Bob Mackie (and even Barbie!) also picked up well-deserved awards.
